Data Communication and Networking introduces students to the fundamentals of data communications and computer networking technologies such as the concepts, models, protocols and standards, transmission medium, and error detection during data transmission. The course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for managing the operations and ensuring the security of data communication networks, with a particular focus on Local Area Network (LAN).
